Learning and Interpretation

Outdoor Innovation Group Lead
I wrote, delivered and reviewed lifelong learning and interpretation plans for the National Trust in the Peak District. The plans addressed a wide range of audiences and learning styles with key objectives and outcomes linked to the specific environmental and heritage qualities of each area. Written with collaboration of staff and volunteer teams, these plans informed engagement work for several years and with the involvement of the teams, everyone was committed to delivering them with passion and to a high standard.
Across the Midlands region I co-led the National Trust's Outdoor Innovation Group; supporting staff from different properties with professional development and generating new ideas for innovative outdoors visitor experiences. We were in the business of breaking new ground and taking risks. I organised visits and skillshares to develop the group’s learning in contemporary arts, team building, wellbeing and nature connections. I supported participants with their plans, funding, delivery and evaluation for new projects.
